Nice fabric, comfortable cut, and looks really good with the "V" style bikini top! Size S fits like size S Pepper undies. I debated between "mid-rise" and the lower-rise bikini bottom. On the models, the mid-rise waist looks quite high but IRL (as other reviews have noted), it's not. I think the smaller bikini bottom style would have been more skimpy/revealing than I'm comfortable with. You can pull the sides of the "mid-rise" up to get a somewhat higher "V" look but these bottoms sit better pretty much straight across my waist, like a cross between boy-short and bikini style, with a bit of curviness through the "V" dip at the front. I'm 5'10" and the waistband sits naturally well below my bellybutton, lower than shown in the model photos. Looking forward to the next beach season!
I have always had a hard time with swimwear, since I'm more curvy on the bottom half. I love the mid-rise cut, which hits just below the belly button in a super flattering way. I was surprised to find myself reaching for the Pepper bottoms just as often as I picked the tops. I'm usually a medium (sometimes, rarely a small) and I measure W27 (lower waist, where these bottoms hit 29) & H 37-38 (depending if it's winter or not, LOL!)
The waistband is both tight and feels secure, and comfy and non-restrictive. I really wish I didn't miss out on the Jungle green color in my size!
They are the most comfortable swimwear I ever owned.
PEPPER non-wire brasI have both mid rise and regular bikinis to compare. I've been swimming every day this summer in those PEPPER bikinis. Those mid-rise bindings give you more and better support, so I like them better!
Size: true to size. I bought all my swimwear in the same sizes as my PEPPER non-wire bras.
Finally, a high-quality swimsuit with a waistband that doesn't cinch and a modest cut! My only wish is that they also made an ultra-high rise that hides the belly button, but I really do LOVE this bathing suit and have been looking for years for one I feel comfortable in!
Love the quality so far!
